L.A. Chinatown Firecracker 5K Run/Walk; 10K Run; Kiddie Run; PAW’er Dog Walk; 19/50-Mile Bike Ride — Celebrating 46 years, the L.A. Chinatown Firecracker is one of the largest and oldest running races in the U.S. with its upcoming Lunar New Year run, walk, cycling and dog walk events held over the weekend of February 24-25, 2024, at the historic Los Angeles Chinatown Plaza.

Registration is now open for the Year of the Dragon 46th Annual L.A. Chinatown Firecracker with a choice to participate in-person or virtually. Each registered participant receives a commemorative 2024 Firecracker race bib, exclusive collectible finisher’s medal, limited edition t-shirt (Paw’er Dogs receive their own commemorative Firecracker t-shirt), goody bag, and much more. All registered participants 21+ years of age are also eligible for one complimentary beer at the Beer Garden. In addition, participants and their guests will enjoy the Lunar New Year Celebration in the heart of historic Chinatown with an opening ceremony filled with lion dancers and the traditional lighting of 100,000 firecrackers. The Firecracker festival includes vendors and booths. The 46th Annual Firecracker has been approved as a 2024 USATF Sanctioned Event.

The annual L.A. Chinatown Firecracker is produced by the nonprofit L.A. Chinatown Firecracker Run Committee (LACFRC), a group of volunteers who donate their time and energy to organize and stage events and programs promoting healthy lifestyles, fitness, cultural awareness to the greater Los Angeles community. All proceeds are reinvested in the community and surrounding areas in support of elementary schools and other non-profit organizations, providing service and programs.

The 46th Annual L.A. Chinatown Firecracker sponsors include McCourt Partners, San Antonio Winery, American Bio-Clinical Laboratories, Winston & Joanne Young, Cathay Bank, Empire International, Longo Toyota/Lexus, Rose Burton, and Central City Optimist.

• Sun, Feb 25: 5K Run/Walk; 8:00 a.m. Run / 8:20 a.m. Walk
• Sun, Feb 25: 10K Run/Walk; 8:20 a.m. Run / 8:40 a.m. Walk
• Sun, Feb 25: 1K Kiddie Run: 9:00 a.m.
