Councilmember Michelle Keldorf updates the community on the City's administrative order to address fire-related emergencies that temporarily lifts and/or relaxes certain restrictions in the City of El Segundo to help increase temporary housing options for people displaced by the January 2025 wildfires. These include: 


* *Temporary Recreational Vehicle Parking -* Residents can apply for a *no-fee *permit to park recreational vehicles on or directly adjacent to their property to house people displaced by the wildfires for up to 30 days. 
* *No-Fee temporary short-term rental permits* to house those displaced by the wildfires for a 90-day period, expiring on April 13, 2025.
* *Temporary Suspension of Transient Occupancy Taxes (TOT) at Extended Stay Hotels* - Hotel room taxes at an extended stay hotel (hotel room with kitchen and refrigerator) for displaced persons due to the wildfires will be waived for 90-days, expiring on April 13, 2025.

The order also addresses air quality actions including street sweeping/parking citation suspension (through 1/17/25) and temporary prohibition on power air/leaf blowers.
