Anyone who wants to learn about Japanese language and Japan is welcome to enroll ！ Introductory, Elementary, Middle and High School faculties. Students enrolled in the academy and who have completed 9th grade or above in a regular high school will be eligible to take a credit test, with the added benefit of earning high school credit for a foreign language based on the results of the test.

日本の言葉と文化を学ぶ日本語学園協同システムは、1948年に創設された全米でも最大規模の日本語学校です。

ロサンゼルスを中心に5つの学園を持つ協同システムの全生徒数は二百名を数え、日本人学校や補習校とは異なり、「日本語を第 二言語として教える」ことを基本方針に、人種や国籍に関わりなく、日本語および日本について学びたい児童生徒に広く門戸を開放しています。学園に在籍し、 一般の高校で９年生以上の生徒は、クレジットテストの受験資格が得られ、その結果によって高校での外国語のクレジットが取得できるという特典もあります。
