We want children to grow up to be confident children with rich imagination and thinking ability ！ We aim to improve Japanese language education and deepen interest in Japanese culture in the American society, and we incorporate Japanese language care and Japanese events. We import teaching materials from Japan and offer "Sen no Okeiko" for 3 year olds and "Hajimete no Aiueo" for 4 year olds. Our goal is for children to be able to write their own names in hiragana by the time they graduate from preschool. In addition, we will share with parents and staff how their children are doing at home and in kindergarten using the Parents' Notebook.

こぐま幼稚園では、広々とした芝生の園庭で伸び伸びとお友達と遊びながら、日本の文化や習慣を身につけていきます。

アメリカに住む子どもたちが日本語で自分の気持ちを伝え、意思疎通しながら心を育むことを大切にしています。様々な行事を通して日本を感じていくことを大切にしています。日本人保育士によるきれいな日本語での保育、日本のあいさつの習慣や、季節の行事、言葉、季節の歌や手遊びなどを日々の保育の中で学びます。
